
Brittney Graves is from Placerville, California. From 2008-2011, she studied art at Folsom Lake College and was an active member of The Upstairs Art Gallery. Her interest in art began in figure drawing and portraiture. She took classes at local colleges, participated in community art collectives and ran figure-drawing groups. Brittney relocated to Reno, Nevada in 2013 to finish her Bachelor’s degree in art at the 性爱五色天, Reno and shifted her focus to digital media.

Artist鈥檚 statement
Early on, digital media helped Brittney find her passion for video and performance art. She focused on creating art influenced by feminist performance artists and contemporary feminist theory. Currently, she is working in video and focusing on the distribution of ideas, culture and information. She is seeking to find new meaning from communication technologies by reshaping their themes and mechanisms.
