About the department
In 2010, in response to industry trends and employer demand, the two separate majors — computer science and computer engineering — were merged into a unified degree in computer science and engineering.
This redesigned curriculum offers the best of both fields, combining a deep technical understanding of computer hardware design and operation with the creativity and problem-solving skills necessary for software development. Students benefit from a comprehensive education that prepares them to tackle complex challenges, from designing efficient hardware systems to developing innovative software solutions. This interdisciplinary approach equips graduates with the versatility and expertise to excel in diverse roles across the tech industry.
Our department is vibrant and active, offering numerous opportunities for students to engage and for alumni to stay connected. Join our .
