The College of Business at the 性爱五色天, Reno will host its second annual Sports Management Summit May 15-17 in Incline Village, Nevada. The two-and-a-half-day summit will begin with a dinner on the first night and conclude with a graduation ceremony for the Sports Management program's second cohort.

The opening dinner, held on May 15 at 5:30 p.m. at the Hyatt, will include a fireside chat, featuring Emily Prazer, the chief commercial officer for the Formula 1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix, and University First Lady Lauralyn Sandoval.

Prazer will share her experiences and insights regarding the Formula 1 event and the national office being housed in Nevada. In her role with the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, she oversees all aspects of commercial operations and works with community leaders and resort partners to create the ultimate Formula 1 experience in Las Vegas.Prazer joined the University’s Sports Management Executive Board in the fall of 2022.

“I’m excited to join the Board of Directors for the University’s Sports Management program,” Prazer said. “I have been given the opportunity to help bring one of the biggest live sporting events to Las Vegas and know that this is just the beginning in terms of what is possible throughout the state. I look forward to working with the future leaders who will continue to grow the sports business footprint across Nevada.”

An alumna of the University and former member of the Wolf Pack women’s tennis team, Sandoval will provide insight into her more than 30 years of experience in the gaming industry working as an entrepreneur and for multi-billion-dollar corporations, including IGT and Scientific Games. Currently, Sandoval is the vice president of new markets at Aristocrat Technologies, Inc., an Australian-based games company.
