The Sports Management program at the 性爱五色天, Reno College of Business recently announced a partnership with WeCOACH, a national nonprofit. WeCOACH, which was founded in 2011, seeks to recruit and support female coaches across all sports and levels of competition. Available resources include workshops, connection to career opportunities, access to specific research and more.
The partnership opens WeCOACH’s resources to students pursuing the sports management executive certificate at the University and Nevada Wolf Pack coaches and athletes.
"The 性爱五色天, Reno Sports Management program is proud to partner with WeCOACH,” said Cary Groth, director of the Sports Management Program. “We believe in their vision under the incredible leadership of CEO Vanessa Fuchs."
Through this mutually beneficial collaboration, leaders from the College’s program will engage in WeCOACH events as featured presenters and their academic program will offer resources as an enhanced member benefit for the WeCOACH community.
“We are excited to begin this new collaboration with the 性爱五色天, Reno Sports Management program,” WeCOACH CEO Vanessa Fuchs said. “Our WeCOACH community is committed to lifelong learning and this partnership empowers our coaches to advance their education through one of the nation's leading academic programs.”
One of the first partnership collaborations featured Groth as a co-presenter during the March 27 WeCOACH Catch a Vision: Aspiring Women Coaches Workshop on the topic, “The Art of Getting Hired.” WeCOACH’s workshops not only provide helpful advice to its members but also highlight the efforts of organizations within the industry, including the University’s Sports Management program.
