The 性爱五色天, Reno will host Northern Nevada Manufacturing Day on Tuesday, Oct. 22, from noon to 2 p.m. in the Joe Crowley Student Union Milt Glick Ballrooms. The event, organized by the Nevada Career Studio in collaboration with Manufacture Nevada, offers students a chance to explore the rapidly growing and high-paying manufacturing industry while networking with top local employers.
“Manufacturing Day aims to inspire and educate students about the diverse opportunities available in so many cutting-edge fields,” Tom Simpkins, director of Manufacture Nevada, said.
Governor Joe Lombardo has officially proclaimed the month of October as Manufacturing Month in Nevada. The manufacturing sector in Northern Nevada encompasses a wide range of industries, including biotech, computer chips, lithium batteries, electronics and robotics, food and nutrition, aerospace and defense, beauty and cosmetics, chemical manufacturing, and more.
The event will kick off at noon with an employer panel featuring representatives from local manufactures: Tesla, VSE, Rocket EMS and Dragonfly Energy. Students will hear directly from employers about the skills and talents they are seeking from University graduates and the career paths available in their companies.
At 1 p.m., the focus will shift to networking, where students will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with panelists and addtional employers at their booths, including Panasonic Energy of North America, Monin Americas, Comstock Inc., H&T Nevada and more. Each employer will offer appetizers to spark conversation and facilitate meaningful connections.
“Northern Nevada Manufacturing Day is an excellent opportunity for students to gain insights into the dynamic world of manufacturing and explore future career options in some of the most innovative and fast-growing industries in the region,” Simpkins said.
Students who attend will also have a chance to win exciting prizes, including a $50 Amazon gift card or a pair of Apple AirPods. No advance registration is required, but students are encouraged to wear business casual attire to make a positive impression.
