  • Ari (they/them)

    Hi, my name is Ari! I'm majoring in environmental science with a minor in creative writing. My biggest strengths include essay organization and structure, as well as research and source integration for subjects spanning from STEM to literature, but I'm happy to help with any concerns you may have! Outside of school, I love writing fantasy stories, going to the beach and playing Dungeons and Dragons with my friends.

    Hi! My name is Bahar (she/her), and I am majoring in political science and sociology and minoring in music. My strengths are argumentative writing, research papers, and speeches, but I am willing to help you with anything. In my free time, I play flute in the University Wind Ensemble and Mariachi and participate in local political and mutual aid groups. I also speak Farsi, and one of my favorite places in the world is Iran. I look forward to working with you!

    Hi, my name is Bella! I was born and raised in Sparks, and I am happy to continue that streak by attending UNR. I'm double majoring in political science and communication studies with a minor in French. I love to hang out with my friends, walk my dogs, watch movies and read. My strengths are working on argumentative papers, organizing ideas and brainstorming, but I look forward to working with you on whatever you need!

    Hello! Bonjour! I'm Cadie (she/her). I'm currently studying psychology, French, and sociology. I'm most familiar with writing in humanities and research, but I love working with assignments of all genres and subjects. When I'm not at the UWSC, I adore reading, karaoke parties with friends, and hanging out with animals. I look forward to working with you.

    Hi, I’m Caitlyn (she/her), and I'm a chemical engineering major! Although my major is pretty math- and science-based, I really enjoy writing both creatively and academically. Aside from school, I like to hang out with my friends, swim, and watch TV shows. While most of my strengths revolve around lab reports, research and argumentative papers, brainstorming, and organization, I'm here to help with anything you want to work on.     Hi everyone, I'm Corinne (she/they). I have a B.A. in English, a Juris Doctor (law degree), and most recently a master's in public administration. While earning my master's, I worked here at the UWSC as a graduate consultant, so I'm excited to be back as professional staff! I have experience with everything from first year undergraduate papers to personal statements for grad school to dissertations and journal articles, and I particularly enjoy helping with brainstorming, organization, argument, and sentence-level details. Outside of work, I spend my time reading, writing fanfiction, watching too many cooking competition shows on Netflix, and tap dancing.

    Hey there! My name is Dallasia (she/her), and I hope I can assist you. I am currently majoring in journalism with an emphasis in news and broadcasting and minoring in entrepreneurship. Being an African American first-generation student has allowed me to grow the skills needed to connect and empathize with different students here on campus. I have experience working with academic research, creative writing, investigative writing, and personal narratives. I can also help with grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, and basic organization. Even if you simply need someone to look at your writing for feedback, I am happy to help!

    ¡Hola y mucho gusto, my name is Dylan (she/they/ella)! I am a first-gen student in the TRiO program, and I enjoy playing Nintendo games, indoor rock climbing, and finding time to rest during this chaotic college life. Please schedule with me for any personal or academic projects you may have like lab reports, Spanish compositions, argumentative essays or if you just want to practice speaking! I am excited to work with you this Fall.

    Hello! My name is Emma (she/her), and I am a sophomore studying criminal justice, Spanish, and political science! This will be my first year working as a consultant and I am so excited to get to work with you! I am originally from Mexico, so Spanish is my first language, and I have received the Nevada State Seal of Biliteracy. I have always enjoyed challenging myself academically and my strengths lie in grammar (shout out to the oxford comma), structure, and the overall flow of an essay. In my free time, I love reading, watching TV shows, hanging out with my boyfriend and friends, and listening to/decoding Taylor Swift's new album.

    Hey, I'm Gabby (she/her)! As a mixed-race political science student, I am incredibly passionate about civic engagement and uplifting the voices of others. With an extensive speech and debate background, I am most experienced in argumentative writing and public speaking. I enjoy teaching students how to use evidence effectively and discuss contemporary issues impactfully. Outside of academics, I enjoy writing poetry and hunting down new coffee shops and thrift stores. If you need me, I can always be found with a book, a paintbrush, or a pen in my hand.

    Hi! My name is Gee, and I am an anthropology major with a political science minor. My strengths are argumentative writing, literary analysis and research papers, but I am willing to help with anything. Outside of school, I swim, play games, write and go to concerts.     Hey there, my name's Gus (they/them)! I am a proudly queer and autistic Las Vegan majoring in mechanical engineering with a minor in LGBTQ studies. You can come to me for help with anything from lab reports to research papers to design proposals. I'm very passionate about the integration of STEM and liberal arts, so feel free to ask about either! In my free time, I enjoy writing fiction and playing Dungeons & Dragons.

I'm confident with revisions, organization, and cutting out a paper's fluff, but I'm willing to help with anything! I also love to read any creative writing and do sentence-level editing.     I'm Lindsey and I'm a psychology major with a physical anthropology minor.  My favorite types of writing are poetry and creative writing, but I also love research papers. I am strong in organization and brainstorming, but I'm happy to help with any concern that comes up! In my free time, I enjoy writing, hanging out with my pets, and playing video games.

    Hey! My name is Lola (she/her), and I’m a first-generation student majoring in English literature and minoring in journalism. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends, writing, making memes, and learning languages like French, Spanish, German, and Latin (my Duolingo streak is insane). When I’m working on assignments, I like to focus on the overall style and structure of essays, speeches, and other forms of media, and I’m happy to help you with these and any other concerns that you might have.     My name is Megan, and I am a biotechnology major with minors in wildlife ecology and chemistry. In my free time, I spend most of the time reading or taking long walks in the park. I also enjoy writing letters, spending time with my puppies, and attending prayer events!

    Hello! My name is Samuel I'm a triple major in political science, international affairs, and journalism. I have a lot of experience and background in political science papers as well as creative writing story structures. Outside of academics, I dance, skateboard and do improv; due to this, I'm a pretty extroverted person. I'm also in many on-campus clubs.

My greatest strengths are in speaking/presenting, argumentative writing, and formal writing. In my free time, I read, watch Netflix, play guitar, go to the gym, and play any sport casually.

    Hello! I’m Valen, and I am dual majoring in veterinary science and biology with a minor in chemistry. I am originally from Idaho, but I have lived all over the states and even in England. When I am not studying or playing with dogs, I can be found out with my friends or reading a good book. Mt favorite projects to work on include creative writing, brainstorming, and revising papers and speeches alike, though I am up to help with or revise anything!
