A total of 62 Nevada student-athletes applied for graduation this past weekend as ceremonies for the 131st Commencement were held at Mackay Stadium. The Spring 2021 Commencement was held with in-person and virtual options on May 13, 14, and 15.
“This year’s Commencement marked the end of an unprecedented year faced by our University, and I was thrilled to see our Wolf Pack Family having the opportunity to graduate in person at Mackay Stadium,” said athletics director Doug Knuth. “To be able to share this momentous occasion in-person with family and friends was a due reward for their perseverance and dedication through the challenges this academic year presented.”
“I also want to recognize the incredible work of our faculty, Deans and University leadership throughout the year,” Knuth continued. “These important people are committed to student success at all levels of the University and this manifests in the ultimate goal of graduation. We are thankful for their incredible support of Wolf Pack Athletics.”
Nevada has seen 1,150 of its student-athletes graduate in the past 14 years, a figure that includes 22 student-athletes who graduated this past December.
