Sponsor a Panel: Support the Next Era of the Fleischmann Planetarium

For over 60 years, the Fleischmann Planetarium and Science Center has served as a gateway to the universe, inspiring generations of students, educators and lifelong learners. With the upcoming installation of a cutting-edge DomeX theater, made up of over 3,800 LED panels, we are on the brink of a transformation. The Sponsor a Panel Program offers a unique way to support the Fleischmann Planetarium and Science Center’s transformation with a $250 donation. Sponsors will have a name of their choice displayed during the pre-show presentation in the new dome theater—whether it’s a family name, a classroom or a small business. These contributions directly fund site preparation for the theater’s installation, with additional funds supporting future maintenance and enhancements.

Fleischmann Planetarium Dome Theater and Facility Refresh

Thanks to a lead gift from the George W. Gillemot Foundation, the Fleischmann Planetarium is poised to install a new, state-of-the-art dome theater.

Student Scholarships

Student success is the College of Science’s greatest priority and financial support is one way to reduce the burden on our students, many of whom are first-generation.

To discuss creating a new scholarship, email College of Science Development Director Leigh Fitzpatrick.

Faculty Support

The hallmark of a great university is its faculty. Named faculty positions are one of the best ways to broaden their impact. These positions benefit generations of faculty and their students and often take a donor's legacy in directions they could not have imagined.

Center for Research in Economic Geology (CREG)

CREG is a center of study and learning that is leading to a greater understanding of the geology, geochemistry, geophysics, genesis and exploration of critical mineral and precious metal deposits in Nevada.

Building a future of discovery, together

We believe our faculty, researchers and students can change the world we live in for the better. Endowed positions, student scholarships, research funding and other forms of financial support provide our faculty and students with the flexibility and stability that lead to the 'Aha!' moments that can change our world.
