Monitor Web Document Accessibility

To check the accessibility of your PDFs, you should contact your Web Accessibility Liaison to request a report for the PDFs hosted your website(s).

Web Accessibility Liaisons are responsible for monitoring and assisting in resolving the accessibility issues identified by the Siteimprove Intelligence Platform, our enterprise accessibility monitoring tool.

For access to SiteImprove, please use the Accessibility Help Form and specify SiteImprove Access.

For assistance with checking accessibility for instructional materials, please contact the Instructional Design & Educational Technology group of Office of Digital Learning (ODL) by email ( idt@unr.edu) or by phone (775) 682-6798.

Please note the University does not currently have an automated way to monitor and verify the accessibility of file formats other than PDF, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. The University relies on individual content creators and site owners to verify the accessibility of each file using built-in accessibility checkers (if provided) or other manual methods, before making the content available.

It is the responsibility of individual content creators and site owners to ensure that all documents shared publicly, used for instructional, or for official University business are accessible.
