Annie Wagner, a Reynolds School of Journalism graduate, recently earned her Certificate in Principles of Public Relations (CPPR). This entry-level certificate, sponsored by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), distinguishes recipients as professionals with significant knowledge of the PR field.

“Getting my Certificate in Principles of Public Relations has truly cemented my decision to pursue a career in public relations and social media,” Wagner said.

Wagner is the fourteenth 性爱五色天, Reno student to successfully complete this certification. She received her bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in strategic communications from the Reynolds School at the 性爱五色天, Reno in 2020. Wagner served as the vice president of membership for the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and the account executive for the Bateman Case Study Competition while at the University.

She prepared for the exam by reviewing the study guide, taking the online study course provided by PRSA and speaking with peers who have passed the CPPR or the Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) tests.

“I feel relieved to have taken the exam as it solidifies my skillset as a strategic thinker,” Wagner said.

This certification sets Wagner apart in the competitive public relations field. She currently works as a social media coordinator at KPS3, an advertising and public relations firm in Reno, Nevada.
