Last month, the 性爱五色天, Reno Division of Student Services partnered with Archie Clayton Pre-AP Academy and Pine Middle School to remind students that the time to start thinking about college is now. The pep rally events included speeches from University faculty and students, and each student received a “Future Wolf Pack Student” T-shirt provided by the University’s Division of Student Services.
“We know that today’s middle school student is already thinking about attending the University. The University’s goal is to offer affirmation and encouragement through this inspiring program. It also excites those of us from the University to create a great student experience for future generations of the Wolf Pack Family,” Shannon Ellis, vice president for Student Services, said. “These middle school students should feel welcome at this Tier 1 university. While thousands of international and out-of-state students are attracted to the 性爱五色天, Reno, these students have it right in their hometown.”
On April 21, more than 800 students attended the Clayton College Day event, an assembly that the University has held for 11 years. Guest speakers included 2022-2023 Associated Students of the 性爱五色天 President Dionne Stanfill, Associate Vice President of Enrollment Services Melisa Choroszy, and Nevada Women’s Basketball staff and student-athletes. Cheerleaders and a Wolf Pack mascot were also in attendance to pep up the crowd.
“We are so grateful to work with the 性爱五色天, Reno. This event provides our students the motivation and inspiration to set goals to go to college,” Clayton Principal Michael Martindale said. “Through inspirational speeches from students, coaches and administrators, our students learn what it takes to prepare themselves for college as well as what opportunities are available locally.”
On April 28, the University held its first Pine College Day event with more than 200 seventh-grade students in attendance. During the pep rally, students enjoyed speeches from Stanfill, Choroszy, and Nevada Football Head Coach Ken Wilson and his student-athletes. NFL Superbowl champion and Nevada Football Director of Player Personnel Virgil Green also shared how important higher education was in preparing him for his 10-career in the NFL.
