Academic concierge and complaint service
The 性爱五色天, Reno is committed to assisting students with their concerns and complaints about academic issues at the university. The Concierge Service serves as both a resource for help with general advising questions that have not already been answered by a student’s academic advisor(s) as well as a channel to file formal academic complaints.
The Concierge Service has seven categories in which your concerns can be filed:
- General advising questions: Concerns that have not already been addressed by one’s academic advisor
- Grade appeals: Complaints about a grade received in a course*
- Poor advising: Complaints about the perceived quality and/or accuracy of academic advising
- Poor instruction: Complaints about the perceived quality of instruction for a course
- Course availability: Complaints about the availability of a course offering required for a student’s program
- Course policies: Complaints about the policies being enforced in a particular course
- Other: Academic complaints not covered in the previous categories
Upon receipt of the filed concern or complaint, the student will be contacted within two business days to confirm receipt of the complaint, request additional information (if needed), and to indicate initial routing of the complaint. In some cases, the complaint may be immediately referred out to other offices for review (e.g., sexual harassment, academic integrity, disability compliance, etc.). In cases of grade appeals, the information will move into the procedure in the General Course Catalog.
*Students should have consulted with the instructor prior to pursuing this complaint**
