Before creating, managing, or contributing to a social media account for your area, you are expected to:

1. Take Basic Web Accessibility training through the Office of Digital Learning to ensure you understand how to make your content accessible to as many users as possible, as required by the University's Accessibility Policy.
2. Be familiar with our Social Media Guidelines to ensure your account aligns with University standards and best practices.
3. Have a strategy for aligning your social media presence with your area’s goals and objectives, and work in collaboration with others tasked with strategic communications work for your area.
4. with the MarCom so we can help promote and support them.
