On Oct. 17 at 10:17 a.m., the 性爱五色天, Reno and other NSHE institutions participated in the Great Nevada ShakeOut earthquake drill.
A message was sent out via email, text message and via a scrolling banner across the bottom’s of University-owned computers to “Drop, cover and hold on!” during the drill to practice safety measures one should implement during an earthquake.
The best way to stay safe during an earthquake is to DROP to the ground. COVER your head and neck with your arms, and if you can, get under a sturdy desk or table. And HOLD ON until the shaking stops.
If you can’t find shelter nearby, move next to an interior wall, crouch down and cover your head and neck with your hands and arms.
