Title IX

NSHE and its member institutions do not discriminate on the basis of sex in their education programs and activities. Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972, 20 U.S.C. § 1861(a), provides: 鈥淣o person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.鈥

Title IX staff

The Center for Civil Rights & Equal Access lead campus-wide compliance and programming initiatives through strategic oversight, investigate and resolve matters involving sexual violence, sexual harassment, stalking, relationship violence and discrimination on the basis of a protected class.

Title IX team training

All members of the Title IX Team receive training on the NSHE and University Policy Against Unlawful Discrimination and Harassment as well as on various specific subjects as required by federal law.

Scope of Title IX

Title IX applies to every single aspect of education, including course offerings, counseling and counseling materials, financial assistance, student health and insurance benefits and/or other services, housing, marital and parental status of students, physical education and athletics, education programs and activities sponsored by the institution, and employment.

The 性爱五色天, Reno does not discriminate on the basis of sex in the education program or activity that it operates, and we are required by Title IX not to discriminate in such a manner. Non-discrimination on the basis of sex is mandated by Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (20 U.S.C. §§ 1681 et seq.) and the corresponding implementation regulations (34 C.F.R. Part 106). The University’s commitment to nondiscrimination in its education programs and activities extends to applicants for admission and employment.
