The College of Education & Human Development at the ÐÔ°®ÎåÉ«Ìì, Reno, has achieved a remarkable milestone, climbing 25 places in this year’s rankings. The College now stands at No. 63 among the 2025 Best Online Master’s in Education Programs, a significant leap from the previous year.
Programs in the Best Online category are evaluated by U.S. News & World Report based on a variety of factors, including student engagement, faculty credentials, services and technologies.
“I am excited to see our college continue to grow in the online space,” Donald Easton-Brooks, Ph.D., dean of the College of Education & Human Development, said. “We pride ourselves on being a quality program, and we are proud to now be the most affordable option among top-ranked higher education institutions in the region.”
Now in its 13th year, the U.S. News Best Online Programs rankings are designed for individuals seeking to advance their education through online learning.

The program’s impact is evident in the experiences of its graduates.
“The online master's in diversity and equity in education was perfect for me as a full-time teacher, mom and wife,” Myndee Washington, an educator at Union Park Charter Academy in Florida, said. “The asynchronous classes allowed me to work on my own schedule, but the professors always made me feel like I was part of the Wolf Pack!"
“The professors offered their constant support and knowledge to guide me through the program,” explained Hailey Elayer, an English teacher at Traner Middle School in Reno, Nev. “If I had questions or needed help at any point, they were both ready to provide their expertise and guidance. I am going to continue to use the knowledge that I have gained from my program so I can be the best teacher I can be for my students.”
